Direct Voice - Competitive calls using another carriers lines

A Direct Connection means creating a physical link between your site and your chosen network provider. Availability of direct services depends upon the location and call patterns of each of your sites. In addition, there are substantial cost benefits available on line rental and call charges. Direct access reduces your telecommunication costs whilst dealing with a single telecoms provider. Benefits of a Direct Connection include:

  • Single Supplier for Line Rental and Call Costs
  • Options for resilience and diversity by using multiple carriers
  • Additional call management services
  • Improved SLA's

Carrier Pre Select - Competitive calls using your BT lines

An Indirect connection allows you, the customer, to retain your existing BT lines but allows access to competitive tariffs from alternative network providers. An Indirect Connection is facilitated by Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS), which ensures no leakage back to the BT network. The pre-runner to this was least cost routing (LCR), which involved either hardware call routers or the telephone system being programmed with special numbers.

CPS is a government initiative managed by OFCOM, which makes it easier than ever for almost any business with BT lines to use an alternative network provider.

Calls are automatically routed across your chosen network provider at the local public exchange. There is no set-up charge, no site visit and no requirement for new equipment. You won't have to change your existing numbers or pre-dial any access numbers to begin to benefit from highly competitive call charges.

If your business already takes indirect voice services from an alternative provider, it is equally simple to move your business across. Benefits of an Indirect Connection include:

  • Improved Service Levels: CPS is a more robust method than dialers, manual dialing and Least Cost Routing. There are fewer opportunities for error in provisioning and CPS totally removes the chance of customer intervention. The result is improved delivery of the product.
  • Reduced Business Costs: CPS guarantees 100% capture rate of the appropriate calls provided. We have captured the CLI of every line to be connected. This will reduce the customer's operational costs by removing the opportunity for call charges on the customer's BT bill.
  • Convenience: No longer will the customer have to suffer down time during installation, engineer visits or be concerned about incompatibility problems between CPE equipment and dialers.

Telebusiness

Winning and retaining the loyalty of your customers is fundamental to keeping their business. The immediacy and intimacy of a one-to-one phone call is often the most effective way of fostering a strong, two-way relationship with the people who buy your products and services. It is also a great way to attract new customers.

Telebusiness numbers allow callers to contact your business at a rate determined by you. This means that you can tailor the behavior of your suppliers and customers in such a way as to leverage maximum business effectiveness.

FreeCall (0800) No charge to callers; you pay the total cost of the call.

LocalCall (0845) Callers pay a reduced charge, normally the price of a local-area call.

NationalCall (0870) Normally charged at the cost of a national call and there’s no charge to you as an owner.

NationalCall Plus (0871) Similar to NationalCall (0870), but the caller pays a slightly more expensive fixed-rate per minute charge.

AreaCall Callers pay as if they are calling a standard PSTN Number

International FreeCall Callers call a local toll-free number set up in the countries you specify. The format of the toll-free number follows local formats.

Universal FreeCall Callers in all your specified countries call the same toll-free number, which follows the format +800 xxxx xxxx, where + is the local international access code (e.g. 00 in the UK, 011 in USA).
